Many Western men choose to build a relationship with a Filipina girl. Some even choose to marry a Filipina. But what makes Filipino women so wanted?
1. Filipina girls are renowned for their beauty .
They surely stand out among Asian women in terms of charm and femininity. If you think other way you probably have never seen Angela Perez Baraquio – the first Asian American and Filipino American who was crowned Miss America 2001 and Miss Hawaii .
Since birth Filipinas are raised in a special sense of honor called Delikadesa (or Delicadeza). Delicadeza is a Spanish term which when translated in English means daintiness. It is defined as a sense of propriety, an act of being refined or delicate in tastes and manners.
It is Delikadesa what gives Filipino women such admirable qualities and distinguish them from Western ladies. You will never find a proper Filipina bring shame onto herself and her family by lying, cheating, stealing, running around with different men or flunking out of school. It is one of the meanings of Delikadesa – pride in doing the right thing.
3. Filipinas are u nderstanding, patient and composed .
Most Filipina girls would never engage in a quarrel or a loud argument simply because this wouldn’t suit a real Lady . They are taught to speak politely, with a gentle tone of voice. Arguing is just not acceptable, along with public criticism. This soft spoken, quiet and understanding nature of the Filipina Ladies is the desired trait that Filipinas strive towards.
4. Filipina girls are generous and naturally caring and supportive .
The common spirit of survival has united the Filipinos for centuries making generosity and loyalty towards family a time-honored tradition. The caring and supportive nature of the Filipinas is apparent in the fact that there are no booming businesses for retirement homes or orphanages in the Philippines – they would never abandon a child or a member of the family in need.
5. Filipina girls believe in a one-man one-woman relationship .
Since there is no "absolute divorce" in the Philippines , Filipinas are raised in a high regard for the sanctity of marriage and consider it a life long commitment. Some, in fact many who marry these Filipina beauties, swear they make the best wives in the world – loyal, loving and faithful past death.
6. Filipina women put family first before money .
Faithfulness to the family is a tradition that is characteristic of the Filipino society. To the Filipina, family will always remain a great priority. Filipi no women , whom many would consider as coming from a relatively poor country, view the close loving bonds of their f amily as their wealth. They are more willing to sacrifice career than a family.
7. Filipinas are excellent home keepers .
Filipino ladies equate domestic responsibility with being a good wife – their home is a great source of pride for them and they do their best to create a warm and loving environment for their family. For the Filipina even yelling at home would mean de-facing her home so you will probably never find a Filipina woman screaming or breaking dishes.
8. Filipinas are well educated .
The Philippine culture attaches great importance to college education. Pride in accomplishment at school is instilled in Filipinas since their childhood and female college enrollment even exceeds that of the male. This affects the social positions too. Unlike other Asian countries where women tend to be in more subservient positions, the Philippines businesses are more accepting of women performing business. This is apparent with the current Philippine president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo – the second Philippine woman to hold this esteemed position.
9. Filipino girls are religious .
The Philippines is predominantly Roman Catholic ( the only Christian nation in the Far East ) and it is common amongst Philippine families to raise their children in the church. So don’t be surprised if your Filipina girl is more devoted to her religion than you are to yours.
10. Filipina-American marriages are more successful than American-American marriages .
An interesting fact is that according to the statistics Filipina-American marriages arranged through dating services have a lower divorce rate (about 20%) than the standard American- American marriage (about 40%). Still, the statistics may vary according to which source you use.

More commentsim a filipina 26, i must say middle class filipina. first and foremost i must say that MOST filipina are attracted to americans REGARDLESS of social status mainly because physically american men fits perfectly the standard of what is a HANDSOME guy is for us.. tall, high nose, blond/brunette hair, and most especially fair-skinned! dont you ever wonder why most filipinas wants to be white and take glutathione pills? its not because we want to be like americans its just that if we just find it more attractive if one is fair-skinned. we just find it neat and CUTE. if americans wonder why we want to be fair-skinned we filipinos also wonder why americans want a tan skin lol!im filipina but im not obsessed about being fair skinned i prefer being quite dark and im attracted to black men so i go for black men and i think filipinas that goes for fair skinned coz its attractive well are racists
cont.. now for those asking why some YOUNG filipinas marry OLD american?( when i say old i mean 50 yrs and above ) sorry for being blunt but i have to say for FINANCIAL SECURITY AT FIRST. ofcourse for most pinays AGE does matter! cont.. once an american captures the heart of a filipina and marry her. i can proudly say that generally FILIPINAS or pinays are one of the best wives you can asks for its because generally pinays are FAITHFUL.. once a pinay cheats on her husband for sure she will be condemned not just by the society but also by her own family.. one prevalent traits of a pinay also is that they are family oriented.. a wife in our culture is expected to cook for their husband and family, take care of the kids, clean the house, do the laundry etc in short husbands in a way are treated like kings! even if a wife is working she is still expected to do all those things.. most pinays generally are submissive to their husbands. they easily gets jealous and will demand most of of your time.. so goodluck!!im a filipina but im westernised one im not that submissive so i wont just take care of the kids,do laundry,do all the housework coz i want my husband and me to be equals,i'll treat you like a king and you should treat me like a queen..i easily get jealous(all women do anyway) but im not that clingy,im independent and i want time for myself..oh btw i will not clean up after my husband,he have to clean up after himself

Dont go to prejuices and let the people do what they want to do. Filipina or other kind of women are simply a human been with their own lives and responsabilities. I think the first is to respect the human nature, and later on time will give the chance. Said questions about skin and economics is to degradate the person. I'm spaniard and I feel deep empaty for Filipinas, but is not in my mind the exchange of feelings by money. Please give a dignity to the person in all of your comments. I'm Filipina and I've always been taught not to be lazy. My mother truly worked hard to get her family out of poverty. When a Filipino's parent was poor before, the mother or father knows how to survive in bad situations so they will eagerly teach their children to also work hard so they can have a better future. My mother is very VERY hardworking, she's caring and loving and very religious. When she was just 12 she'd walk to the river to wash clothes. There was not much development so whenever she studied at night she'd use the dim-lighted lamp out there in the streets. She also helps my grandmother cook. They were 4 sisters in the family and all of them are like that up to now, but is now living a better life.
As for the Filipinos whom you say is just after money, looks, and that Visa, they are those who want to take shortcuts to a better life (duh). Their parents have probably lost all hope and solve their problems through regular drinking and smoking.
You shouldn't say bad stuff about us because we had a terrible past. Colonized by Spain for 333 years, we were taught to bow our heads, and that the rich will not go to Heaven so Filipinos way back gave their stuff: lands, jewelry, etc. That's why it's been so hard to strip the 3rd world title from the country.
Love is love...whatever makes you happy.

Brother, you hit the nail right on the head. Filipina make the best wives and partners in life. I found one I'm bringing from Leyte to USA and am really excited about our future together. I was married for many years to an American lady, but it didn't work out...I decided to try a different kind of woman...I told her right from the start, I don't want a slave, or a servant. Just a partner in life, a best friend, a lover. She's on board with that, but the learning curve will be sharp at first. She is not materialistic, and would be just as happy if I were to go there and live with her. In fact, we have been discussing our living there in retirement.
